Malaysia Internal Security Act has become Malaysia International Shame Act

Internal Security Act ISA first establised in Malaysia or Malaya as an emergency act to fight terriost and maintain national security. Who ever arrested under ISA is not undergo trial or charge in court but directly put into jail for a period of 1 year.

After 1960, Malaysia passed the ISA act under Article 149 of the Malaysian Constitution and it can be use against anyone at the discretion of the Home Minister. Anyone who is arrested under ISA can be detain up to 2 years and later extend to another 2 years for indefinately if needed.

If you refer to the list of ISA detainees in my previos post, most of them are politicians or protestor that voice their concerns about the nation.  Is has become so effective to keep people silent so government is happily to use it again and again.

However Malaysia Internal Security Act has become Malaysia International Shame Act.
Malaysia government has been abusing it by arresting reporter, blogger and even opposition party MP for their interst to retain power.

There has been 6 ministers against the recent use of ISA towards reporter, blogger and opposition party MP and thousands of people gathering to protest ! Come on DPM Najib,  PM Abdullah,  and home minister Syed Hamid, you guys are not deaf or blind. Don`t create nation instability and panic by arresting innocent people under ISA!   No one believe three of them has cause any in stability in country,  even your own ministers!

It is an international shame as not only Malaysians know about the government dirty tricks but even foreigners.
