Anwar Win 65.8% votes with a Bigger Majority of 15,671 votes!
The official result for Permatang Pauh by-election finally came out by 9:47pm.
Anwar win with 15,671 majority votes or 65.8%! Slightly less than the 70% votes compare to the result i had in my dream yesterday. But the total votes is very similar to what i predicted about 32,000 votes. Hahaha. How I predict 32,000 votes? I just use total registered voters 58,459 x 80% turn out rate x 70% voters support Anwar = 32,737 votes.
But I believe this is more than enough to send a clear message to BN and the world that Malaysian want Anwar back to Parliment, not only as Permatang Pauh MP but also as the next Prime Minister.
I guess Khairy is going to silent for a while now as he say BN going to bury Anwar and his political carrier in this by-election. He ususally keep his mouth shut for a while if things doesn’t go well. :)
Anwar win the election by 31,195 votes, where BN candidate Datuk Arif Shah Omar Shah get 15,524 votes and Angkatan Keadilan Insan Malaysia (Akim) candidate Hanafi Hamat get 92 votes.
The turn out rate is as high as 81.1% out of 58,490 voters today.
Anwar win with 65.8% votes, slightly higher than his wife Wan Azizah 64.5% votes compare to March 08 election result.
This time, BN candidate Arif Shah Omar Shah get even less votes compare to previous BN candidate Pirdaus Ismail. This most probably show that Permatang Pauh UMNO is singing the same tune among themself. They might not happy with BN decision to send Arif Shah Omar Shah as candidate.
Anwar almost leading in every polling station. In polling station where most residents are Chinese, Anwar get more than 70% of votes.
Anwar even win at Teluk Wang polling station, where it is the only Malay majority polling station his wife could not win during last election.
Permatang Pauh voters composition is very similar to overal Malaysia population composition. It comprises 69.49% of Malay, 24.57% Chinese, 2.8% Indian and 0.14% other races voters.
Therefore, Anwar winning with big majority also reflect his political agenda to focus on people and have a fair community among difference races is well accepted in overall Malaysia.

I recently saw a short documentary style report of the riot and politic problems in thailand, it shows some of the people causing chaos, baricading the airport and sort, but what caught my attention was the sentence “jadi kita tidak patutu biar bukan bumiputra mahawal negara (something like that if i’m not mistaken), the documentary was shown in rtm 1 or rtm 2, and it seems like its government funded, whats that suppose to mean, isn’t it only the kings were reserved only for the “bumiputra”, hrmmm?????
