Really pissed off…

Celcom Xpac

I am using Celcom Xpac prepaid “3G” wireless broadband on Monday at my Dengkil new house while waiting for my Streamyx to be ready.
I really pissed off as the so called Celcom Daily unlimited Broadband internet connection not only sloowww but disconnect me every few minutes.

Yeah I know it is only 384Kbps but my father Celcom 384Kpbs RM68 monthly plan is much much faster.
Well, you might be saying it is because of poor coverage at my area, but I encountered the same horrible experience while I am using it at TheMall, KL last two week during Global Internet Summit event.
The only reason I can see is because Celcom Xpac is not a 3G sim card, therefore I can only get GPRS or EDGE bandwidth.

Ok. forget about GPRS and EDGE, that’s might even confuse you more because many people cann`t tell what they are.

Before I bought the prepaid sim card, I was presented with 2 options:

1.
Celcom Xpac or

2.
Celcom Broadband prepaid.

The reason why I choose Celcom Xpac prepaid over a Celcom broadband prepaid Sim pack is because it is CHEAPER.
Celcom Xpac is selling at RM30 with RM15 air time,
Celcom Broadband Sim pack is priced at RM50 with RM15 air time.
Both manuals say that I can subscribed to 24hours unlimited broadband access for just RM6.

Plus, I will get more features for Celcom Xpac prepaid because i can use it for calling, 15 Xpac friends for cheaper rate, free credits every moth the more i use it…etc.

So I thought I have a better deal and could save RM20 while having tons of nice features by choosing Celcom Xpac prepaid pack.

I was so WRONG.

Cheaper or free does not means better in most of the case.

In my case, it cost me lots more than RM20 because not only i wasted all my reload credits for poor connection speed but i wasted all my time as well.

Most importantly, it does not give me the result i want.

Lesson learned. Cheaper can be costly.
How I wish I can return the whole thing and get back my money or top up to get the Celcom Broadband Sim package now.

Do you have similar experience where you regretted after pay a lower price initially for something but not getting the result you expected?
