Testing out the Ubuntu 9.04 desktop version
I am looking for a Linux Os to do some test drive of window application today.Ubuntu came into my mind as I played around with it las time. The latest Ubuntu desktop version is 9.04. The file size is about 700MB.It also have a laptop version where it is about 950MB and you can install it to a laptop using a 1GB usb stick. It is great for my asus EEE netbook but the size is just too huge.So I decided to download the desktop version over my 4MBps streamyx line.I have select Australia download site since it is closer to Malaysia. It is doing 200kps at first and drop to 50kps now. Sigh. :(Anyway, once the download is complete, I will test it out to run some window applications by installing the WineHQ application on it. If you want to try Ubuntu with WineHQ, you can check out the document here.
